What can I say, there are times where brother jack can be knocked off his feet by something; it's rare but it can happen..SURPRISE!! this is just such an occasion.. I just reviewed Death-Scort Service 2 The Naked Dead by Gator Blade films, The Sleaze Box and Icon film Studios. This film produced by Chris Woods and Sean Donohue brings a gritty in your face take on the slasher/horror genre that you old pal Brother Jack was not expecting, Now don't get me wrong I knew this was going to be a gore fest going in but even I wasn't prepared for some of the things I saw, so with that in mind lets jump in feet first to all the sleaze and blood that this movie promises.

The Movie opens with Michelle played by Krystal "pixie" Adams sitting in a bathtub talking on the phone to a woman referred to as the "madame" the conversation centers around the gruesome murders of several escorts the year before by a masked slasher. The Conversation ends Michelle is promptly chloroformed and awakes to find her self tied up spread eagle in a run down shed, there is very little interaction on the part of the killer before he gets down to his twisted bloody business. VAGINAL RAPE TO DEATH WITH A RECIPROCATING SAW!!! and then finger banging the corpse. Well I didnt see that one coming As ta La vista Michelle.

The next scene are a 3 protagonists Kate (sushi xhyvette holder) lady o, lace (Katie McKinley)
are discussing the death of Michelle and other working girls in the local area..then they decide to have a lesbian 3 way in the shower (makes sense right)? Then our 3 plucky heroines hit the streets to "make that money". We then cut away to a local adult bookstore run by frank the pimp (8 the chosen one..yes that is his name i cant make this stuff up ) a throw back to the 80s complete with nylon/rayon shirt and and ape drape mullet (insert scooby doo flashback sequence here) complaining about how he is not making any money off the girls..In walks Buddy brilliantly played by Bob Glaizer out on the prowl looking for "Easy Pussy" after negotiating with Frank for Peaches (Lucretia Lynn) it moves to the alley behind the store for the deed to be done..Buddy is castrated by peaches with a piece of glass then to add insult to injury peaches steals buddy's pants and runs off, while ransacking buddys trousers Peaches Gets and ice-pick thru the brain (very well done by the sfx dept and i really didn't have any sympathy for peaches anyway ..fuck you bitch!).

The Next part is back to lacy and lady o working a corner when a pair of priests in a stretch suv come driving up asking if they want to party with a pair of priests? I found this rather unusual because neither girl was dressed as an altar boy. Things progress as expected as both priests experience a "second coming" as it were then Lacy turns her lusty attentions on to Lady O in what is obviously the films best scene (well done Katie!) after that are a series of murders hooker shot in the head etc the 2 other notable deaths were the hooker who has a gaping hole burned in her by acid poured on her by the killer and the death of lady o by evisceration what made this particular death unique and disturbing is that lady o was pregnant and the killer proceeds to pull her fetus out along with her intestines very well done this one will stick with you for awhile.

Im not going to reveal the ending of the film because we know that people who drop spoilers are assholes. I can assure you that is was very well done and you might not see it coming. All in all Death Scort Service 2 the naked dead lived up to its promises the cast was easy on the eyes and played their parts very well the star of this film was Katie McKinley aka Kinky Katie her scenes with kate and lady o really stood out I highly recommend her in all her upcoming projects. In my humble opinion this movie gets 2 thumbs waaaay waaay up.
I have worked with many indie horror film makers over the years, some good some not so good but what all these filmmakers have in common is they each have a vision and a passion about how a horror film should be made.The Subject of out first indie horror producer showcase Michel Gale Butt is no exception. This Wisconsin based filmmaker has brought us titles such as Vampire ticks form outer space, The Man with the golden hand, This Book is cursed, These Woods are cursed and other memorable titles.
Michael when asked about got him into the indie horror game he states that as a young man growing up in Wisconsin his love of acting and Classic Monster movies, this love followed him through college and using the knowledge acquired in college he set out on the indie horror path. His first subjects of early films was yetis but Then made his first notable film Vampire Ticks from outer space, to be followed by The Man with the Golden Hand and This Woods is Cursed.

Michael owes much of his earlier inspirations to Ben Blegen whom he met in college who did a film called Dawn In Beautiful Loathing, Michael starred in that film. Later he asked Blegen if he could do a comedy version of that film called My Neighbor is dating a serial killer Blegen Agreed Michael Butt got the producing bug from that point . Michael's horror inspirations came from the movie Planet Terror. Butt sites the work of Robert Rodregez seeing his work in Planet Terror and describing it as "masterpiece" and wanting to make similar movies so very badly but also went on to collect older works of John Carpenter and Sam Raimi.
When asked what inspired him about Planet Terror and the Grind-house era of the 70's and early 80,s Butt said it was the excitement and the practical effects elaborating the lack of cgi effects and the reliance on old school sfx for the excitement and visceral thrills this genre of movies produce.

When asked about his costars of the various films he states that one actress in particular has been with him trough all of his film That is Crystalynn Oldenburg, either as a costar or in a cameo role.
As a filmmaker myself it is good to have a core of goto actors and actresses you can depend on to provide talent for your projects.

To end this i asked Michael about where he saw his work heading in the future he has this to say..
"Someday I'll find time to market them properly, or find someone who
believes in them enough to invest in promoting them. Then once I am
completely funded by my films I'll be able to devote 100percent of
myself to them. Then I can start competing with the big name
companies... But I'm going to keep my feel my practicality and my love
of storytelling over profit."

We are always on the lookout for indie horror films here in the Omaha metro area and i believe we have found a real gem here. The Film is Called If The Shoe fits.Produced by Splitsville Productions.It is written and directed by Nate Coulumbe and produced by Mark Popejoy. Nate also plays the employee who quits the shoemakers employment and in some ways sets the stage for the carnage that follows. The story revolves around a shoe repair store run by Tony Haynes who after losing his only employee to a better job offer sets about the task of running the store singlehandedly, the cobbler keeps the situation in hand until a slew of bitchy and demanding customers pushes him to commit the unthinkable with bloody and just deserved results for the customers.
The customers played by Mark Popejoy, Melissa Holder, Carter Coulombe, Eric Dwight, Crazy Courtney, Jennifer Johnson and Anthony Blake did excellent jobs as the customers from hell. By the time i was done watching my only regret is that we the viewers did not get to see more of them sent to the hell they so richly deserve. Mark Popejoy as the right wing Trumpanzee biker was a stand out in his quintessential douchebaggery in his berating the store owner I would have been tempted to take the hammer to him myself. The 2nd customer the wedgie shoe bitch also met a satisfying and bloody end at the hands of the cobbler the playing or big band music while sawing her feet off and the fast paced jazz music as he was beating her skull to a pulp...BRAVO!. We also want to give Benito Garcia and the staff of Wetworks SFX kudos on the blood fx and the death scenes.
My only detraction and this is a minor one was when the cobbler was beating the skull of shoe bitch
there was not as much blood splatter as you might think, considering the amount of fluids that are contained in the human skull I might be wrong but a great scene none the less.
So in closing we give If The Shoe Fits and Splitsville Productions a two big thumbs way way up from myself Brother Jack Angry and Brother James and the rest of the crew here at the Monastery of Mayhem.

I guess we have all heard about the the passing of one of Americas most iconic acting personalities, Adam West (June 10,2017); so today we will forego the normal wackiness and irreverence you might expect from this blog and take a more reverent and heartfelt look at this extrordinary actor, husband, father, human being the man Adam West.
Were not going to recite the facts of his life; what we are going to do is to celebrate that life through the prism of how it inspiried yours truly to be the person that I am today. Adam West has always been reffered to as "The Bright Knight" in reference to how he portrayed the character. He used tools like kindness, compassion, and humor never taking himself too seriously in a decidely "brighter" vein than later batman incarnations. Camp aside Adam West played batman without the darkness later versions (christian bale or ben affleck. I guess I have at least subconsciously tried to
emulate him in the terms of how I do the show and the overall tone although we are heav er on the snark than what Adam West would have been we do keep trying unlike our erstwhile competition.
I grew up watching The Batman tv series so i can confidently say that Adam West was not only my first batman he was "MY BATMAN" that makes his loss felt more keenly here at the ole' monastery of mayhem.

So there you have it faithful followers we were promised the elevator in 2017 but it appears we are gonna get the shaft instead, however as brother jack always prefers to look for the light at the end of the tunnel we did discover another diamond in the crap (Kinky Katie being the first ) in the form of Queen Malovia.
It is with a very heavy heart and not a small amount of tears in my eyes that I bring you this installment of the Angry Brothers Omaha Shock O Rama Blog. On Thursday July 21 2016 William Cardille aka "Chilly Billy" passed away from liver cancer which he was diagnosed with shortly after his retirement in 2015. His daughter Lorie Cardille who you all would know from her starring role in the 1985 George A Romero film Day of the Dead. She Posted on social media of Chilly Billy's cancer diagnoses and rallied his fans, friends, family and the legion of horror hosts both active and inactive to spread word of his situation and to encourage their fans and friends to send cards letters photos whatever to show their support of Chilly at this obviously trying time . Bill Was swamped with bags of mail from supporters and well wishers. Chilly was supposed to attend a con in the local area on a past weekend but his condition prevented that from happening. Bill was hospitalized but able to ride out the illness. Then on Tuesday the 19th it was announced that bill would be coming home to be among his family. on this past Thursday Lori posted the news on social media that Chilly Billy had passed away. Having lost people that we are close to or admire you have that period of mental numbness comes you might feel your moving thru a fog, although I had never met Chilly Billy in person I was aware of him and his career thru my interactions with other horror hosts and research when becoming Brother Jack. To Say that Bill Cardille was beloved by his legions of fans in the Pittsburgh Pa would be a monumental understatement.

Rather Than list all of Chilly Billys accomplishments and they were legion I am reminded of a line from the Tom Cruise film The Last Samurai where Katsumoto (ken watanabe) says to Nathan Algren "You could spend your whole life looking for the perfect cherry blossom and it would be a wasted life". I look at everything Chilly Billy did over the course of his life as cherry blossoms being a father, husband, horror host, broadcaster etc and to be beloved by his fans then truly all of the cherry blossoms of his life were perfect and his life was by no strech of the imagination wasted. On a more whimsical note it brings a smile to my face to think that Chilly Billy Right now is sitting at a table at the big horror convention in the sky signing autographs for people like Vincent Price, Leonard Nimoy, Peter Cushing, Christoper Lee and Vampira. It's been a crazy month here at the monastery of mayhem for your old pal Brother Jack, some upheaval in the employment and financial areas also a set back on the show front we lost a gig more on that in a bit but first the good news. Ok as I stated early we did have a small setback we were removed from a gig against our will where I could rail about the unfairness of this and how we were removed from this by the organizers for not clearing a previous blog post with them and other reasons we are not going to talk about that or that organization, we do wish them well in their future endeavors but we will not cover any of their future events.

For this installment of the Blog I want to tell you about a good friend and fellow horror host from the great state of kentucky Dale Streble aka Uncle Edward and the It Came from the Basment show
. He was gracious enough to seek us out thru our YouTube page and becoming a fan and supporter of the show and providing us with much needed feedback and many words of encouragement. In addition to being a huge fan of our lovely co hostesses Inferna and Lady torrid not to mention our Newest member the Lovely Black Dahlia. So rather than liste to me yapp on about Uncle Edward I will let the man himself do that. Take it away Uncle Edward ...
In
the small former railroad town of Lebanon Junction, Kentucky about thirty miles
south of Louisville, strange things have been afoot. In 2011, Dale
Streble, a horror and sci-fi movie junkie since the 70’s was working on a
character to DJ a Halloween dance that his Lion’s Club did to raise funds for
camps for special needs kids and Dr. Darkhours in his tuxedo and fez came to be.
Dale
soon felt called to the video medium and in 2012, Uncle Edward, a ghoul in
repose at a forgotten cemetery was discovered, still sporting a fez as Dr.
Darkhours. When space babe Nadia von Nacht (played by my wife,
Robin) crashed in the cemetery, It Came From the Basement was born. But
before a full episode could be filmed and presented on the local public access
channel, Dale was injured in an automobile accident and filming was put off for
most of 2012. During this time scripts were painfully written.
However, when braces came off, the cable company had changed and the local
friendly staff was now a huge, not as friendly, national company. A full
show was made, but getting it broadcast was a formidable task. Dale had
experienced a plethora of horror hosts online, not the least of which was
Omaha’s Shock-O-Rama with the great Angry Brothers and their bevy of
beauties! But this was some time to be.
In
the Basement there was despair as posting a show on the internet just didn’t
seem right. Then, in late 2013 Dale discovered a Kentucky independent
filmmaker, Jerry Williams, who had been doing a You Tube show based on the
1950’s program Captain Video, with his called Astro Space Hero,
and after shooting some scenes for Jerry, Dale was emboldened to bring forth his
own little show called Adventures of Galactic Command, which appeared on
You Tube in early 2014. Due to the simple beauty of this, Dale brought
back Uncle Edward and his favorite space babe, Nadia von Nacht to give another
go at It Came From the Basement. Uncle Edward’s love for the classics
persisted with his Trailer-Rama shows. And finally the full episode of
ICFB featuring Night of the Bloodbeast, although recorded much earlier, was
posted.
Most
recently, a new version called The It Came From the Basement Show was made and
posted which features characters from the Basement, a moldy oldie cartoon and
some groovy movie trailers.
This
started out with all intentions to be a horror host show, but the influences of
SCTV and Benny Hill have led us into more sketch-type faire.We really just want more input from
everyone out there who has seen our shows to let us know what they
think!

The Omaha Sexy Nerd Society Is Run By Local personality Jim Morrison we were fortunate enuf to run across this group on Facebook and after absorbing the philosophy of the group and finding out about the Superhero/supervillan party in honor of one of the members birthday ( the sexy little nightwing) we were on our way to the party to shoot an episode which you can see on youtube and below.
We also met many great party goers including the green hornet , harley quinn and thor, not to mention Jim Morrison who was dressed Ozymandias from the movie Watchmen.

Your Old Pal Brother Jack Angry and the crew at the monastary of mayhem are always on the lookout for the best and brightest in indie film makers from both the states and our unique cousins from the great white north and by north I dont mean the dakotas I mean Canada..The Land of Molson ale and the canadian tuxedo, where hockey isnt a game its a religion..
Our first film of the night is Acid Head -The Buzzard Nuts County Slaughter the film stars Tony watt who also directs and produces along with his very delicious wife Vivita Kho, Tony has her billed as a canadian scream queen. The story opens with 2 bank robbers hitting the bank of Bramption Ontario where one of the robbers is gunned down as he lays dying he tells his partner to take the haul of cash and split for the states to find lana a stripper/hooker he had feeling for to let her knows he still loves her which he promptly does leaving his partner to die right there.. Tony watt plays many of the characters vito the italian mobster and john of Louisiana Lou also the characters of butch, dracula and cletus. Vivita play the title role of Acid head and pheremone labonza.
The story follows the trials of butch after being beaten up with a black mambo dildo by his psycho girlfirend and being kicked out of his aprtment and his subsequent journey to find a home he encounter joey a doper and meth maker much hilarity ensues at this point.. Most notable in this production are the buxom vivta and the character of strawberry grenade played by the stunning Danielle Leslie D
ickson and Jane Longeye as Dixie Stoolsoftner. The movie has a grindhousey or bad porno vibe which adds to its charm. As I had several cans of beer during this film by the end it was a very unique ride to say the least..
Our Next Film By Watt and Twi is Nosferatu vs Father Pipecock and Sister Funk. this retelling of the Murnau classic Nosferatu had me scratching my head saying what the fuck and trying not to piss on myself from laughing at the same time. Im pretty sure that brother james did pee himself but them James Pees himself on a pretty regular basis. Watts impressive use of sound bites to take murnau's story and turn it into a sex romp and his use of scene cut ins was a joy to watch. All in All both films have a funky basment quality much like our show which only enhances its charm. I cant wait to feature both of these works on Movie Night Live From the Monastery of Mayhem on KPAO here in Omaha.
This is one of those movies that you would want to watch with a fifth of your favorite adult beverage or a baggie of your favorite weed if your so enclined. A great Romp Kudos Tony and Vivita.
