Adam West..A Fond Farewell and Godspeed from the Monastery of Mayhem

Greetings Faithful Followers,

I guess we have all heard about the the passing of one of Americas most iconic acting personalities, Adam West (June 10,2017); so today we will forego the normal wackiness and irreverence you might expect from this blog and take a more reverent and heartfelt look at this extrordinary actor, husband, father, human being the man Adam West.

Were not going to recite the facts of his life; what we are going to do is to celebrate that life through the prism of how it inspiried yours truly to be the person that I am today. Adam West has always been reffered to as "The Bright Knight" in reference to how he portrayed the character. He used tools like kindness, compassion, and humor never taking himself too seriously in a decidely "brighter" vein than later batman incarnations. Camp aside Adam West played batman without the darkness later versions (christian bale or ben affleck. I guess I have at least subconsciously tried to
emulate him in the terms of how I do the show and the overall tone although we are heav er on the snark than what Adam West would have been we do keep trying unlike our erstwhile competition.

I grew up watching The Batman tv series so i can confidently say that Adam West was not only my first batman he was "MY BATMAN" that makes his loss felt more keenly here at the ole' monastery of mayhem.

The Angry Brother on the loose at the 2014 AnimeNebraskon convention

This is Brother Jack Angry One of the joys of this time of year in addition to Halloween, seeing ghosts , ghouls, witches and other monsters running around pumpkin spiced everything is the NebraskaAnimecon 2015. This convention has been growing and evolving and just getting plain better every since its inception in 2004 with only 300 attendees to over 5k+ for 2014. 

The con includes a veriatable who's who of the anime and voice acting realms this years guests included
Robert Axelrod, David Brehm, Chris Cason, Richard Epcar,  Kyle Hebert, Erica Mendez, Eric Stuart, Alexis Tipton, Cristina Vee, and Stephanie Young.

Another plus is being able to see all of the great cosplayers and cosplay enthuisists. All though I or Lady Torrid who covered the con with me did not know all of the characters we enjoyed ourselves immensely here are some pics for you all to enjoy.

New Digs and a new look for the Monastary of Mayhem

Greetings Faithful followers,

     This is your old pal brothers Jack Angry here, bringing you another edition of The Blog a lot of great new things are happening here and we wanted to bring you up to date. First off I want to apologize for being silent so long, the monastery of mayhem has moved as crumbling monasteries deep in the bowels of Omaha Nebraska are wont to do we have found a new and better location so you can expect a new look to the show and some other new surprises as well.  First off I want to thank Laurie Lorsch and Examiner.com for the great article she wrote on myself and james and inferna and the rest of the crew at the monastary of mayhem It was very much appreciated.

We have added a new member our crazy little family.. It is my great pleasure to welcome Lady Torrid. Played by the Voluptuous,Vivacious Amy Hines.. We were fortunate to have met Amy at this years Groundhog Prom back in February, also contacting us during one of our casting calls.  Having shot Episodes of Both The Angry Brothers Omaha Shock O Rama and Movie Night at the Monastery of Mayhem the chemistry between Inferna, James and Myself was there and the decision wa made to offer her the position  which she readily accepted. Also We do want to imapart some sadder information a good friend of our show and fellow horror host Dr Mel Praxis aka keenan powell had desided to fold production on his program Movie Madness with Dr praxis sighting the recent situations with public domain movies being the cause. We had dr praxis and terril roe from The Horror Congress on our show on monday to discuss this you can catch it here

Our Roving Reporter Inferna at A Nightmare on Q Street Haunt in Omaha Ne,

Your old pal brother jack angry is turning this edition of the Angry Brothers Omaha Shock O Rama over to the Lovely Inferna our own Cougar from hell and our resident zombie rob the zombie with a couple of on the scene interviews with haunt goers at the attraction which you can view right here. This was the opening weekend for the haunt so Inferna went by to check it out a really fun time was had by all.

Big Things on the way for The Angry Brothers Omaha Shock O Rama

Halloween Stones is store that provides great concrete statuary (skulls, Tombstones, gargoyles, busts etc) The owner Terry Kern was kind enough to give us an interview which you can watch here

Episodes 26-29 and an update on our Lovers Luxuries appearance

Greetings Faithful Followers, This is your old pal brother Jack Angry from the Monastery of Mayhem deep in the bowels of Omaha Ne Bringing you more twisted tales and Horror Host Happenings. Our visit to Lover Luxuries in Omaha Ne, we killed it! It was fantastic we signed over one hundred autographs and the place was packed for literal the whole time we were there. The Manager/Owner Liz and the rest of her staff Adam, Jim, Ken, Sarah, Kassi were great they made us feel right at home and were a fantastic help in setting everything up such as the table and getting us a good spot in the stores. Liz even provided us with a huge sack of small goodie bags to pass out to people who came by to get autographs. The Fans that came by were outstanding even if they didn't know who we were many people came by to compliment Inferna on her outfit or to yuck it up with Brother Jack, many inquired about Ash's absence. Inferna even received a visit from 2 of her number one fans. Jack Even had a visit from some of his fans such as Dmitri,Starla and Stacey aka Fleshflower (cute huh?) The Angry Brothers Omaha Shock O Rama makes new progress every week we have entered into an agreement with Big Brain Tattoo in Omaha for 6 months of publicity which will include a promotional appearance at their shop, If you are interested in having us promote your business please contact me at theangrybros@gmail.com . enclosed will be some pics from the event

The Omaha Slut Walk

Greetings Faithful followers,

Your Old Buddy Brother Jack Angry had the opportunity to go to the Omaha Slut Walk it was held on Sept 18th, Here in the Gene Lehay Mall in the historic Old Market district. The march and rally were organized by Denise Holling, a very courageous young lady and attended by some of the strongest ladies I have ever met particularly Victoria Lopez and Alyssa Bahler. All of these ladies are survivors (the work victim is not used at these events) They can be better described as HEROES in my book.

The things I had learned at this event really opened my eyes in regards to the way that a survivor could and in most cases is treated by law enforcement especially the offices who receive the initial complaints. I heard accounts of indifference and in some cases disbelief on the part of the offices that a crime had even taken place at all. THIS IS BULLSHIT!!!! to assume that any functional, sane or rational human being would condone or even ask for this to happen is utterly asinine not to mention fucking ridiculous. A CRIME HAS OCCURRED HERE! The survivor did not ask for it, her clothing or manner of dress did not invite it, her lifestyle promiscuous or not does not make it all right. WAKE UP MORONS!!!

I heard a great slogan at the march the content of my closet is not louder than my voice, truer words were never spoken. It is time for a change and this is a great place to start!
